Ingredients
225g porridge oats (I use Flahavan’s)
225g self-raising flour (I use Odlums)
225g butter (I use Kerrygold)
225g caster sugar
2 tablespoons honey
100g Déise Delights, chop into small pieces (contains alcohol)
1 tablespoon Orange Juice
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/ Gas 4.
Lightly grease a baking tray.
Put the butter, sugar and honey into a saucepan over a medium heat and allow to melt, stirring occasionally.
Remove from the heat and add the oats, flour, orange juice and Déise Delights.
Mix well together.
Spread the mixture onto prepared tray.
Put the tray into oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven, cool in tin for a few minutes, then transfer to wire tray to cool completely.
Cut into squares and enjoy with a nice cup of tea or coffee!
